Lazy days of summer......

The lazy days of summer are not so lazy at our homestead. We have a full plate but a fun plate at that. D2 has said she wanted to take dance lessons so I looked into it and found the perfect place, it's called The Little Gym. I was able to get her a free one time "test" class to see if she liked it before I signed her up, the first half hour was dance and tap lessons and the second half was gymnastics. It was all she could talk about and couldn't wait for the big day to come. The day finally arrived and as I watched her go into this class full of strangers all by herself it was like watching a flower bloom in front of your eyes. She blossomed and beamed from ear to ear, opening her shy self for all to see and followed the teachers instructions the whole time. Needless to say she loved every second of that hour we were there. That night when her daddy came home she was full of excitement to tell him all about it, so we sat her down and talked to her about it and decided it was worth the money for her to be so full of joy. She now has a ballet dress, slippers to match and tap shoes.......the cutest ballarina and tap dancer I have ever seen.

D1 has signed back up for soccer, a sport which she LOVES playing but not as much as football I think. If there was a football league she could sign up for she would be on it for sure! My little tomboy......I love the fact she loves sports so much. She also is signed up for gymnastics at the Little Gym but in a different class then D2, which is a good thing as I think they need to do seperate things from each other. Both are enrooled in another gymnastics class just not as advanced as the Little Gym is and will also be starting swimming lessons too. Lots of running around for me but can't think of anything else I would rather do. Having children has truly been a blessing to me, something I will never take for granted and every moment with them whatever mood they may be in is a treasure. And our DS? What can I say, he is an amazing, ball of fire full of life, awesome beam of light that has blessed us and made our unit complete.

G will be starting up coaching football in full throttle again, something he enjoys to the fullest. I love to see him so enthusiastic and doing what he loves to do. I am extremely proud of him how he handles being a provider, father, husband and teacher of sorts and does it all with no complaints. He is the love of my life and the song in my soul.

Other then the usual birthday parties and get together with friends and an occasional mini vacation, this is our summer in a nut shell.
Hope you can put on your toes in the sand or put on your flip flops and enjoy your summer as well........
